How is Harrison 4 already!?

I mean, seriously, wasn't it just a year or so ago that Harrison joined our family?!  It sure feels like it.
But no, Harrison is a wild little guy, with very little fear.  He's always running, jumping, and wrestling.  The only time he's still is when he's sleeping.  He's also the most grateful little boy I've ever met.  He says thank you all the time!
"Thank you for making me dinner."
"Thank you for taking me to the store."
"Thank you for buying me groceries."
"Thank you for brushing my teeth."
All the time, he's so thankful.  Crazy, but thankful.
He also loves snuggles.  The big boys don't like hugs much, and they certainly don't want kisses, but Harrison LOVES hugs and kisses.  I think that's why this birthday is so hard on me.  I know soon he won't want mama loves and snuggles, and that is heartbreaking.

So even though I'm not ready for it, Harrison turned 4.
And turning 4 came with 2 parties and lots of presents!

That face...

He's so fun to buy presents for because he loves everything!
His favorite present was probably bath bombs.

He got to go to Mr. Gatti's for one of his parties.  He loves Mr. Gatti's purely for these 2 little riding toys:

He'll spend most of his Gatti's money on the riding toys, and those are the activities he talks about for days afterwards.  It's kinda funny because he thinks the teacup ride is a toilet, not a teacup.  He kept asking me if he could ride the toilet when he got to Mr. Gatti's and I had no idea what he was talking about until he ran to the teacup ride shouting, "Toilet ride!  Toilet ride!"  He's hilarious!  If he can't find toilet humor in something, then it's not worth his time.

He got to go to Casa Ole (the boys' favorite restaurant) for his second party- his actual birthday.
Again, he's so so so so so cute!!!!

And there was cake!  Can't have a birthday without cake!

So he may be 4, but I will always remember him like this-

And while we're on birthdays...
One of Jackson's good friends is Jaden.  He's a super cute little guy!  Anyway, he invited the boys to his little sister's birthday party- how cute is that!?  Anyway, here are a few pictures of that birthday...

Harrison got 3rd place on a motorcycle game- he was pretty proud.

Maybe a new birthday tradition...

I just have one brother and his birthday is 5 days before mine, so it's been pretty easy to keep up with him. Jim, however, has 3 brothers and a sister, and now 3 of his siblings are married, so the birthday's just keep adding up. My forgetful brain can NOT keep up. Anyway, I've been looking for a cute and thoughtful way to send birthday greetings to all the aunts and uncles since we've been married. Almost 4 years later I think I finally have an idea! My idea is to make a birthday sign every year and have the boys take a picture with the sign for whatever family member has a birthday. Then send the person the picture with birthday greetings. Then every year they will have a different picture with the boys as they grow and I won't feel guilty missing anyone's birthday without proper acknowledgement. I also thought that it would make a great photo album for us if we keep each person's birthday picture with the boys and watch their growth progression ...

Can I finally join the club??

I have issues with making anything with yeast.  It scares me.  I tried making rolls or bread in home-ec as a kid and it was a FLOP!  Since, I stay far away from baking goods with yeast, so of course, that includes homemade bread.  I LOVE homemade bread, but I've never made it.  I realize I'm not a real Mormon wife and mother because of this huge flaw, but I've managed to make it as a so-so wife and mom with this awful glitch in my character.  Then I came across an "easy" recipe for honey wheat bread (thanks for posting it on fb Liz Nuffer) and decided to conquer my fear of yeast. First things first, I had to buy yeast- there are 394 different kinds of yeast.  No one warned me how many different kinds there were!  My fear began to overcome me, but I gathered all my strength and picked the most interestingly plain kind I could find.  Hopefully it would do the trick! I followed the recipe, but it said to wait until the yeast "frothed". ...

The end of school; the end of an era

Soooo, it's been awhile since I've posted, and by "awhile" I mean a year ago.  Oops.  I'm so busy during the school year with my own classes that I forget to post in the blog.  I'll try to do better, especially for our family that lives far away. The end of this school year was crazy!  I felt like I was running in circles working in the PTA- there was so much to do!  I thought joining the PTA would be some good volunteer time at the boys' school- I had NO idea just how much time it takes!  Next year, I'll be a little more prepared because I know what's coming.  And that's not even the crazy part- Jackson has finished elementary and Harrison graduated from pre-k.  That's crazy!  Where did the time go?! Harrison's graduation was first, so I'll start there.  It was soooo sweet and so cute, and I cried like a baby because he IS my baby.  This tiny person is such a perfect little caboose for our family.  Recently, I've been thin...
