How is Harrison 4 already!?

I mean, seriously, wasn't it just a year or so ago that Harrison joined our family?!  It sure feels like it. But no, Harrison is a wild little guy, with very little fear.  He's always running, jumping, and wrestling.  The only time he's still is when he's sleeping.  He's also the most grateful little boy I've ever met.  He says thank you all the time! "Thank you for making me dinner." "Thank you for taking me to the store." "Thank you for buying me groceries." "Thank you for brushing my teeth." All the time, he's so thankful.  Crazy, but thankful. He also loves snuggles.  The big boys don't like hugs much, and they certainly don't want kisses, but Harrison LOVES hugs and kisses.  I think that's why this birthday is so hard on me.  I know soon he won't want mama loves and snuggles, and that is heartbreaking. So even though I'm not ready for it, Harrison turned 4. And turning 4 came with 2 p...

Brian and Whitney get married!

Our family has been waiting for this day for well over a year!  My little brother, Brian, finally married Whitney a couple weeks ago.  Such a wonderful weekend! I mean, how cute are they?! The first night was the rehearsal, of course, but I didn't get many pictures. I do have a fun little story, though... Jackson was the ring bearer, and Whitney wanted him to walk arm and arm with the flower girl, Delaney.  But, he wouldn't do it.  I thought maybe it was because he didn't know her before that night, but no, that's way too simple for Jackson.  Jackson didn't want to walk down the aisle with Delaney because he thought if he walked down the (wedding) aisle with this stranger-girl, he'd be married to her!  bahahahahahahahaha!  That is hysterical! Once we assured him that they would not be married if he walked arm and arm with this (super sweet) little girl, he was totally fine with it. But look at their little faces.  And their little fists...

Amarillo Zoo

My little brother got married!  ...in Amarillo  ....in June. So while we were there we took the boys to the zoo. As soon as we walked in they had a little rabbit out for display. This picture makes me laugh, Harrison's face says "Uh, there's a snake right there, mom.  I'm not sure it's very appropriate time for a picture..." I've learned that we can't take a picture with everyone looking the same direction- it's against their code of ethics. Here's another example of what I'm talking about... Or Harrison has to get naked in some form or fashion... Or someone is grumpy... I'll give you 3 guesses: who's Austin made at? Hahahahaha, that picture ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ cracks me up! Of course, daddy gets the good picture... And we saw lots of animal friends. This turtle was probably my fav.  I love turtles! Tiger friend- Couple lions just loungin'. Some lemurs, but it's hard...

Ending the school year 2017

So I have NO time to blog anymore.  ...which is why I post so much on Facebook these days. I'm catching up!  Here's some fun end of school stuff 2017! Harrison's last day of 3 year old pre-k! Mrs. Tammy (left) and Mrs. Sharon (right) were the best!  harrison loved them so much! I think one of my favorite things about Harrison is how awkward he is in pictures- he's so dang cute! Next, it was awards day for the big boys!  These boys are so smart! Austin earned Honor Roll (all year), Outstanding Reader, and a special Lubbock ISD award for his district test scores, LISD Scholar. Jackson earned Honor Roll (all year), Outstanding Achievement in Math, and the LISD Scholar award.  Look at that swagger! Look at these brothers- they are night and day, but they sure make my heart so happy. And finally, the last day of school! On to 2nd grade for Austin. We love you Mrs. Taylor!!!! On to 5th grade for Jackson- his final year in element...

It's baaaaaaaaaack... The Nuffer Family Summer Camp 2018

Man, it's been awhile.  A long while. The blog is baaaaaack! And so is the Nuffer Family Summer Camp!!!!! The NFSC is going to be pretty different this year.  The big boys need to be challenged so much more than a few crafts and story books like when I first started the summer camp many moons ago.  With that said, I don't really know exactly what it will look like because I have to test the waters to see what interests them and what doesn't. My mom gave each of the boys a Little Passports membership, so we'll be using those in our weekly themes as well.  I have a preschooler, a second grader, and a fifth grader- needless to say, it should be interesting.  but no big deal, right? Riiiiiiiiiight. Every day they'll spend their mornings doing some chores, spending some time outside, reading independantly, doing a little work in grade-level appropriate workbooks, doing an NFSC activity or two, and I think I'm going to teach the older boys to write in cursive. ...

Harrison turns 3!

Wow.  It's been awhile since I've updated the blog... Harrison.  Man, the little man is work.  He definitely knows what buttons to push and how to make me crazy, but he is the cutest dang thing!  He is so full of personality!  He is spunky, but charming.  He is such a little charmer!  Every time he knows I'm upset with him, he smiles a coy little smile and shakes his little baby booty.  He knows I laugh every time because he is adorable!  He gives some pretty great squeezy hugs too with those tiny arms!  And he might be the tiniest Nuffer, but he is my biggest mama's boy.  His favorite words are, "No!  Mama do it." if anyone has the audacity to help him in any manner.  There may or may not be lots of times when mama says, "No! Daddy (or grandma or brother or whoever) do it!"  Everyone in the family sure loves Harrison something fierce.  He has everyone in our household (and grandma, too) wrapped around his lit...
